I actually bought these for hiking! These are perfect on warm days hiking off trail where you need to protect your legs from poison ivy, thorny bushes, spider webs and bugs. They are as cool as shorts, very breathable, quick to dry, stretchy, and comfortable for bending down and climbing. Much better than yoga pants on a hot day - not clingy, they slide up and fall back in place with movement, so air can always get to my skin and keep me cool. The side pockets are big enough for my 6" S25 Ultra phone and other handy items, and positioned perfectly (on the side and above the knee) where it doesn't get in the way when I'm bending or climbing. They don't fall down even though I'm carrying phone and other items in the pockets, and the elastic in the pockets are great for tethering my phone, which I can easily pull out and drop back in. They have an amazing ability to "release" the sticker bushes that try to grab on, and they keep me from getting scratched - I just blow right past those bushes! The sandy/dusty dry dirt just brushes right off, and pet hair just doesn't stick at all. So far, the fabric has been durable enough to even slide down a sandy rock on my behind without tearing - it's slippery, so it doesn't catch easily. I've worn them on several trips and they are still in great shape. Far better for warm weather hiking compared to any of the pants I've bought in outdoorsy stores. I'm just amazed!!@WonderWink - you should seriously consider branding these for hiking!! (just give me a discount for the idea 😁 )
