Snow fungi are very delicate, and I was pleased that they arrived undamaged and in very good condition. There were no broken pieces or dust in the container. The snow fungus pieces seemed to be well cleaned, and I did not see any stem or bark pieces.Once hydrated, they tasted very mild and had a slightly sweet flavor. Even though I have not tried them that way, these qualities would allow you to use them in deserts as well. I have used them in combination with shiitake and black fungus in a stir-fry. The differences in taste and texture made this probably my favorite stir-fry I have ever made.
