I have used a body cream tanner from Vita Liberata and I liked it a lot. I just found out about this face serum and I like it a lot too!This is a serum that you add to your own face creams. I really like it in that regard because there isn’t a separate cream to use for tanning. It is super-easy to just add a couple drops of this to my face cream.The results are good too. I like Vita Liberata tanning products because they are not over-the-top dark. They provide a nice, even, natural tan. I like to use this several days in a row to get the exact darkness that is perfect for my skin type. Then I can keep using it every 3rd day or so to maintain that color tone.I did want to mention however that this does have added perfume. I am not thrilled with that because the like the scent of my face cream and this kind-of overwhelms the scent of it. It is a nice scent though, but an artificial perfume. So, if you’re sensitive to perfume this might not be the right product for you. That might have been why that other reviewer had a breakout the next day (artificial perfumes can do that). Well, for me this isn’t a big deal and i enjoy the scent.I have tried a lot of different brands of gradual self-tanners. I like the “gradual” types best because they give the most even and natural looking color. I like this brand a lot and it feels really good on my skin.This product contains the most common ingredient in self tanners - DHA. It is the third ingredient in the list of ingredients, so it has a good amount of DHA.I am really happy with this product and I think it is a very good price. It is made in the United Kingdom.More information on self tanners:The most common ingredient in self tanners is dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which this product contains. Some products also include erythrulose which this product does not contain. Both are very safe additives that will naturally brown the color of your skin over the period of a few hours. Erythrulose and DHA are very similar in composition, and both react similarly on the skin surface. Erythrulose produces a lighter and slower-developing tan, taking 24 to 48 hours to complete development. When used alone, it fades faster than a DHA-based sunless tan. So, in that regard most manufacturers only include DHA since it activates fairly quickly (a few hours) and lasts much longer than Erythrulose. Just to reiterate, this product contains DHA and does not contain Erythrulose.
