I have been using Celeb Luxury products for a couple of years, after my stylist recommended the brand. My natural hair color is warm black with some white hairs sprinkled throughout. The last time I had my hair colored was over a year ago. It was a short black bob with magenta highlights throughout. Now my hair is past my shoulders and I have managed to keep up the color on my own, with the option to experiment!WASH ROUTINE:My stylist suggested that I use the Celeb Luxury shampoo and my regular conditioner because the products can be drying. I pre-wash my hair with cool/lukewarm water and a color-safe shampoo. Then I gently towel dry my hair as much as possible. This REALLY helps to keep the color from splashing everywhere. Using gloves, I apply the Celeb Luxury shampoo in a couple of sections and let it sit on top of my head as I finish showering. I rinse in cool water really well, because I feel like it can build up. Then I condition and style.I make sure to alternate the color depositing shampoos with regular shampoo on wash days, because the product can be drying and the pigment does build up over time.I usually end up leaving the Viral Colorwash on for 5 to 10 minutes. However, the first time I used the Copper for Brunettes, I left it on for 30 minutes with a shower cap and the outcome was AMAZING. The color was soooo vibrant and shiny. However, I don't recommend doing that every time to keep your hair healthy.BTW--i used the shampoos with a fresh ear piercing, and did not notice any irritation.CLEAN UP:Make your life easier and wear gloves. It can stain your nails. Easy to clean up from the shower/tile/sink. Washes off skin in the shower but might stain your scalp. The color washes right out of my towels, even if they sit for awhile. Haven't noticed any staining on my pillows or car seat LOL.GREY COVERAGE:The brand does not claim to cover greys or virgin hair color, However, I am pleased that the darker colors, especially the Brunettes Line, actually tint my new white hairs! With the Viral Copper for Brunettes, they turn a pretty rose gold color that blends in like sun-kissed highlights. Even with regular shampoos in between, they still have a nice coral tint! It might not blend well if you have a solid stripe of grey new growth at the roots, but for 20% salt and pepper hair, it's worth a try!COPPER COLOR RESULTS:The Copper for Brunettes gives my grown-out highlights a beautiful copper-brown color--not too orange, red, or pink. It warms up and blends well with my natural black hair to mask the break between the new growth and the lighter ends. The white hairs are tinted light copper/rose-gold that lasts through a couple of washes. The deposited pigment does build up over time, so the color will keep getting darker. After awhile, my hair can seem a little dull or muddy with some buildup. I use a gentle clarifying shampoo as needed, especially when changing colors.OTHER COLORS:Over a couple of years, I have used the Viral Hot Pink shampoo and Magenta conditioner, Viral Red, Viral Purple, and Gem Lites Ruby colorwash. I also tried the Viral Light Pink and Viral Coral. While those were too light on their own, I used them to mix with the other colors. Recently, I have used the Purple for Brunettes, and now the Copper for Brunettes. I WISH they had a Hot Pink/Magenta for Brunettes!CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE:I order the products from Amazon for convenience, but I recommend checking out the Celeb Luxury website for more pictures and tips. You can learn more about mixing customized colors and reach out to the experts for advice/troubleshooting. This is especially important for color correction using the Gem Lites line, to learn if a color has warm/cool or blue/violet undertones which can have a huge impact on the final outcome of your hair color.GOOD LUCK!
