The shock-absorbing insole and rocker-bottom sole support a smoother stride, though walking in a medical boot may feel different than normal footwear, which is expected. An adjustable air liner and straps allow the boot to fit either the left or right foot and accommodate swelling or bandages when applied correctly using the included User Guide. Recommended for acute ankle sprains, soft-tissue injuries, stable foot, ankle, or lower-leg fractures, and post-surgical recovery; not intended for sports or high-impact activity. The boot has good support with or without air; I inflate it only when I walk to and from the car, then deflate when I’m sitting or not walking much.
