Supersmile Fluoride-Free Whitening System – 3.4 oz Professional Grade Whitening Toothpaste & 3.6 oz Accelerator – Whitens up to 6 Shades & Strengthens Enamel

I’ve been using Supersmile products for a little over a year, and I ordered this Original Mint set (toothpaste and accelerator) as it’s a flavor I haven’t tried yet. I do notice these products use Calcium Peroxide, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Sodium Perborate rather than Hydrogen Peroxide as the whitening agent. Those ingredients can be found in the accelerator which is an essential part of the whitening process. You use a dry toothbrush with these products - I have a soft dry toothbrush that is dedicated for use with this product line, and the idea is to let it sit on your teeth for a moment or two while you’re preparing to brush with the toothpaste. Since the accelerator contains the strongest whitening agent of the two tubes, this is the one where you’ll see the most change. I’ve found it’s best to keep the accelerator on my teeth while squeezing out the toothpaste, and for me it’s easier to work with two toothbrushes and use one for each step. I have noticed a change in my teeth, so this has been very effective for me!The toothpaste itself is pastier and thicker than normal toothpaste. I’ve had to use my fingers to smush it onto the brush, but once there it is easy to apply to your teeth. The taste of the toothpaste is minty and refreshing. The accelerator tastes slightly minty and a little bit sweet and has a somewhat waxy feel that is hard to describe, and it is a bit more medicinal in quality. It is definitely the part of the set that does the whitening.Of all the teeth whitening systems I’ve tried, this is by far my favorite brand and approach. I wish I had a “before” photo, and I’m including a photo after a bit more than a year of monthly using the products, and this photo was just after I used the set I'm reviewing. I wear aligners and visit my dentist often, and he commented on how effective it was and noticed the change in my teeth! I’m thrilled to add these additional products to my collection, and at $45 for the set, it's a great price and you get more product than the whitening strips.
