As far as shelf-stable salmon you can pull out of the pantry, probably one of the best I've tried. Similar to the equally expensive Wild Planet Sockeye Salmon you can buy on here. Maybe 10 years ago there was this (seemingly deleted from reality) salmon in a pouch, I *think* from Bumble Bee they would sell at my local supermarket. "Grilled Lemon Pepper Salmon with Dill", green label. Something like that. That was the best as far as taste goes. This reminds me of that product whatever it was. I like it. You get about four 2"x4" fairly solid pieces of salmon per can. No shredded pieces on the bottom unlike their tuna variety (which is also excellent) so if you assemble them on a plate you get pretty much a similar serving and presentation as you would ordering salmon at a restaurant. Add some lemon juice then sprinkle with a bit of dill or oregano, pop it in the microwave (or shoot why not the air fryer) and you got yourself a really tasty dinner in no time at all (or the main part of it at least). That said $13 is a very high asking price. Good for a treat or a nice gift for someone you like but probably not gonna be a regular thing I buy. It's really good, but I can't quite say it's "$13 good" (despite the fact basically any restaurant would charge double for just a slightly larger total portion that the jar contains). It's still in the relative price range of Wild Planet Sockeye Salmon ($10-$11/can). This product as well as that one are basically the best highest quality salmon you're going to find from a can/jar/pouch, etc. so as to which is better that's going to be a matter of opinion. But I definitely don't regret the purchase. Very tasty.
