Having had professional laser hair removal in the past, I know it takes several treatments with time between each one, so I took about five weeks to really test this product.I started cautiously, using levels 1 and 2 during week one. It burned a little toward the end of the session, almost like the heat kept building. I had to lift and place the device on each spot rather than glide it as smoothly as described, since it felt too hot and didn't slide on my skin.Week two brought no noticeable difference, but after only one application, that didn’t concern me. I tried level 3 — less burning, more of that quick “snap” I expected, and it wasn’t bad except in a few sensitive areas. Still, no big changes yet.By week three, I moved up to level 4. The snap was stronger, especially in sensitive areas where it actually made me jump a bit — no worse than professional laser sessions I’ve had before. After another week, I still wasn’t sure if it was working, but I decided to stay at level 4 rather than risk level 5. That seems to be my sweet spot — the sensitivity feels normal, and I’m finally seeing less hair.Downsides:I’m not sure if I’m overlapping in some areas because I don’t really see the “imprint” the manual mentions — maybe a faint mark for a moment, but nothing that lasts long enough to guide placement. Luckily that does not seem to be causing any negative side effects. Also, I’m still unclear on the skin-tone sensor. It supposedly adjusts automatically, but I haven’t noticed it in action and have been adjusting settings manually each time.So far, I’ve used it on my bikini line and underarms for a fair test, and I’m very pleased with the results. I haven’t tried it on my legs yet, since that feels like a bigger project, and my leg hair is mostly light and fine. Confused about a couple of the mentioned features, but seeing that it seems to work, for the price, This is a 5 star product for me
