I've had this issue for a while when even my favorite lip balms would get absorbed without getting my lips sufficiently moisturized. This is when I realized that I needed something else to to hold the moisture, and it was time to try a sleeping mask - a concept that used to seem suspicious.This lip mask made huge changes upon the first night. It seems to moisturize the lips but also exfoliate them in such a way that the skin is better able to accept other moisturizers. So, when I apply my regular lip balm after a night with its mask, it penetrates so well that my lips become plump as a result of getting saturated with this moisture.The yuzu scent is realistic and bursts with freshness, which I love - nothing artificial about it. The spatula that comes with it is also very nice. Now, the description says the mask is "non-sticky", which is rather ridiculous: of course, it is sticky - that's how it creates a layer on top that holds the moisture inside. If I use a very small amount, it makes a nice lip gloss. Still a bit sticky, as lip glosses (MAC's lipglass, for instance) tend to be - they last longer and look better if they don't get absorbed. But I almost never use it as a gloss, since I wash the spatula after each application, so it would be rather impractical to do it multiple times a day. I just put on a thick layer before bedtime. In the first few days it made me look forward to going to bed so I could experience this yuzu goodness again.The size is large and the jar will last a while, even though I am not using it economically. Will I buy it again? I guess I'm curious to try a different one, and then maybe go back to this later. In any case, it's a great place to start with sleeping masks for lips.
