Recent User Experience

I know they look a little weird in the photo but trust me. For years I used dried, instant refried beans in a gold bag, but after Covid they weren’t available at my local grocery store. They are on Amazon but very expensive. I sought after a suitable replacement and found Santiago smooth refried instant beans, they are even better than the gold bag in my opinion and much cheaper! These beans are about .30 cents per oz and the others are about .90 cents per oz. I prefer to buy them by the case because you get them for about $10 per bag instead of $16-$18 for an individual bag. These are the ones they use in Mexican restaurants. They are so easy to make and you can make as many or as little as you like. They would probably be great for camping, hiking, or even preppers because they are dried and all you need is boiling water to make them. I usually add seasonings and salt and pepper to the boiling water. After you add the beans, cover and wait 5 minutes, stir well. I add a little butter and a splash of milk to make them creamier. Delicious, affordable and available in bulk! Can’t go wrong with that.
