I've eaten a variety of tinned fish - sardines, trout, salmon, anchovies. I've been exploring different brands and had heard good things about Ramon Pena. I see why! This fish is beautiful, just like the picture on the listing - dark, shiny little fish very neatly packed and temptingly presented. They are meaty and have a deep, briney umami note - some of the best tinned fish I have had. So glad I tried them!They are fairly expensive, but it's a large tin - more than I could eat at a sitting. Definitely a lovely treat.
