I worked up to level 2, and there was no pain at all with each zap. The sensation was very mild—more warmth than anything uncomfortable. One feature I really like is the built-in safety system: The laser must be flush against the skin to activate. You get a clear “ready” indicator when the device is positioned correctly. If it’s not flush, it simply won’t zap. This is a great safety feature and removes a lot of guesswork.
