This works excellent for my slightly over 50 curly hair🎀. I have been using this for the last 15 years and they have changed the bottle a few times and this bottle is new but is the same. You don’t need to use a lot to get the shine. It holds my curls, nice and tight.🥳🎉. I am very sensitive to smells and the smell does not bother me and never has. It is not overpowering, as a matter of fact, I think it used to actually smell like green apples. I love this big bottle-lasts me around 6 months,maybe a little more-or less. You don’t need alot and if you feel your hair gets crunchy, then you’ve used too much. This is and will always be my go to hair gel.I don’t know what I would do if they discontinued it😡LOL
