Recent User Experience

Ok, I know with curly hair you are supposed to just not wash it as much to let the natural oils keep frizz in check, but I find that my hair feels gross fast and just cannot tolerate skipping washes. Apologies to all of you who swear by that system, to each their own. Enter the miracle product. This stuff is awesome. Used with a good conditioner, this puts the moisture back into your hair after a thorough wash and keeps the frizz under control. Worth every penny and a big bottle will seriously last you forever. Works on short hair or long hair for taming frizz without making hair crunchy. Great for thick and curly hair prone to frizz, but NOT great for thin or stringy hair as it is an oil based product. Don’t know how it would work on very coarse or kinky texture hair, but might work. If, on a bad hair day, you look like Hagrid or early-series Hermione, then this is the product for you! Make sure you start with a very small amount, start with damp hands and rub the product between your hands until it foams and develops a creamy texture before applying to very damp hair, starting from underneath (but not the scalp) and combing product through with your fingers or a very large tooth comb then just let it air dry (but don’t blow dry or comb fingers through your hair until it is totally dry because this will break up the curls). Once dry, you can gently run your hands over the style to help it loosen, but avoid combing or brushing through hair as this will separate the curl strands that have come together during drying. When fully dry, I find that the style is very resilient and flexible, even staying serviceable after getting a little bit of wind or rain. If you find that it looks greasy after fully drying, you are probably using too much product, not foaming the product first with damp hands, or not applying to damp hair. If it is still frizzy, you probably need more product, damper hair to start, or you didn’t let it fully dry. Everybody is different, so you will probably need to experiment to find the right amount and tweak how you apply it for your hair and curl structure. For short styles, and looser curl structures, you really might only need a few drops, but the frizzier and longer your hair is, the more product you will need. Just remember, it foams up quite a bit so start with less than you think you will need and work your way up.
