Recent User Experience

This green vegan tobico is such a fun ingredient to have on hand, especially if you like the look and texture of fish roe but want a no fish, plant based option. The tiny seaweed based pearls have a satisfying little pop, the perfect amount of salt, and a definite wasabi kick, so a small spoonful goes a long way. I really like that it is both vegan and kosher, which makes it easy to serve to a wider range of guests without worrying about dietary restrictions. The color is unexpected but fun. Some easy meal ideas I have used it for:• Sprinkle over veggie sushi rolls or deconstructed sushi bowls with rice, avocado, cucumber, and edamame for color and a spicy bite.• Add a small mound on top of avocado toast or rice cakes with soy sauce and sesame seeds for a quick “sushi inspired” snack.• Use it as a garnish on poke style bowls, ramen, or cold soba noodles to make homemade meals look more like restaurant dishes. The 3.5 ounce jar is enough for several meals because you only need a spoonful at a time, and it keeps well in the fridge. Overall, it is a tasty little upgrade that instantly makes simple dishes feel more special and sushi bar worthy, without any actual fish involved. Definitely seems like this would be more expensive than it actually costs.
