Customers find the roasted eel mix goes well with rice and consider it worth the price for 6 cans. This seems to come w a little more but they leave the spines in.I like the taste. But the old cans I used to buy have a little self opener and they removed the spines for the most part.On the bright side I am getting extra calcium on the downside some of the spines have stringy parts in them which I'm trying to avoid eating. It's a little gross. This was the lowest cost I could find at the time. If it wasn't the price it was at I would not buy.I can't find eel sold individually unless it's on sushi. So it's tough to make your own eel sushi. This isn't the same type of eel. It's like dry fish texture w a delicious bbq soaked into it. I would buy again, but just know it's more for on top of rice than making sushi. :) the sauce is amazing! Very sweet bbq taste.
