So, you have to put a lot of faith into a retinol cream, because the manufacturers themselves tell you that it takes a long time for it to work. So is it really working? Some say yes and some say no. Some say you have to start using it before you ever even get any wrinkles. I think that it can't hurt to apply a cream to your face on a daily basis, and having retinol in that cream probably helps a little more. That's not very scientific, but what else do you have? I'm reviewing this product based on things I can actually see and feel, not on whether retinol actually works.This product has a creamy, nice mid-consistency. Not watery at all. It's smooth going on, and has a typical eye cream smell. Not a bad smell, but not like they intentionally made it smell good. It's pleasantly light on the skin, not sticky, and absorbs into the skin quite well. It can burn slightly on the skin around the eyes, but not too bad, and that doesn't last any length of time. The bottle says to avoid the lips and eyes, but I'm assuming applying around them is okay, since it's a wrinkle cream and those are key places where wrinkles develop. I think I've also noticed that where it burns a little around the eyes it also kind of itches, but that too goes away within a couple minutes.If you are retinol believer, then I think you would like this retinol cream.
