Silk floss? Not something I had never known of before. I find with a bit of reading that use of this material for flossing is largely motivated by a desire to avoid products which introduce potentially harmful chemicals into the body. I also find that the material may lack sufficient tensile strength and may easily shred and break during use, and that technique matters.Armed with that foreknowledge I am using this floss with appropriate technique and have had no issues with breakage. And what I find is that the texture is extremely effective in cleaning my teeth. I really dislike waxed floss as while it slides in nicely between the teeth, I find it to be ridiculously ineffective. The surface that makes it slide well also means that it just slides over the teeth instead of cleaning off their surfaces. I am happy to take care using a material that actually works instead.Avoiding harmful chemicals in ones mouth is certainly a worthwhile consideration, and for me this product fulfills that need nicely.
