First of all, these are RIDICULOUSLY expensive! However, I REALLY wanted to make pizza and see if I could find a ketchup substitute, so I bought the set. I REALLY liked the taste of both sauces, as did my husband, so I am looking forward to using them both. I didn’t think that the marinara actually tasted like a tomato based marinara would, but it will be a great tomato-free option, since I break out in rashes now when I eat tomatoes. I will add some seasonings to it just as I would do for any jarred sauce. The ketchup does not have the consistency of typical ketchup, but it is delicious. It reminds me of something that I ate growing up…chow-chow, I think. It will be perfect as a sauce for wings or even ribs. I also think that it could be used to make a great meatloaf. However, after I use these up, I might have to try to make my own.Update: I made pizza and it was delicious! I DID have to jazz up the sauce with more seasonings, parmesan cheese, and a dash of red wine vinegar. I also let it simmer so that it reduced a bit. I ended up ordering some more directly from the manufacturer, because even though it is expensive, it IS a bit cheaper than on Amazon. I’m also not QUITE ready to commit to making it just yet. I can get several uses out of one jar, so I’ll keep using it until I actually feel like making my own.
