I wanted to wait until 2 months after use before posting my honest review. I’ve been using Nioxin hair serum consistently for about 67 days. I apply it directly to my scalp (I part my hair into sections, then spray), I then use a scalp massager massaging my scalp for 3 minutes. I’ve been doing this twice a day. My hair is fairly healthy, but I’ve been having issues with shedding since summer. I have fine hair that’s low density. What I’ve experienced since I started using is little to no shedding- definitely shedding less than the normal 50-100 strands. In the 2 plus months I have about 2 inches of hair growth (I purchased one of those hair growth tracking tshirts). I find many serums/oils boast hair growth, but few talk about growth retention. My hair is stronger and most importantly thicker. Overall I love it and find it to be very effective!Now a very small minus is the smell which takes some getting used to. The product has a sandalwood smell which I am not a fan! What I did to “lessen” the smell is I apply 1-2 small sprays closely to my scalp then I spread the serum across my scalp using my finger- I don’t smell anything doing this. The serum doesn’t make your hair oily or greasy after applying. You can use sparingly (1-2 pumps) then use a scalp massager to spread it around. I purchased for 50 USD, but I feel like this will last me 4-5 months even applying twice a day. I don’t think it has protein in it which is great because I am protein sensitive and I find many of the popular hair oils contain protein. Overall it’s a great product and I will continue to use it.
