Really enjoyed this. The flavor is rich, savory, and a little sweet, with that deep umami taste black garlic has, but in a much smoother and more spreadable form. It feels a little gourmet, like something you’d pick up at a specialty market and then wonder how you went without it.I first tried it on toast just to get a feel for the flavor on its own, and that was enough to win me over. It’s mellow, not harsh like raw garlic, and has a nice depth that works really well on bread, with pasta, or added into other dishes for extra flavor. The texture is also very smooth and easy to spread.The one thing to know is that the jar is a good size, and once opened it says to use it within 8 days, so it helps to have a few ideas ready for it. That said, it’s delicious enough that using it up probably won’t be too hard.Would definitely buy again.
