I was very excited to try this Light Moisturizer, Peptide - Enhanced Daily Anti-Aging Cream by MZ Skin. It arrives in a box with a safety seal, and inside is a glass jar containing the product. It is formulated by Dr Maryam Zamani, who evidently is a well-known surgeon in the UK.The formulation for this cream is very impressive. First off, it is super clean and contains nothing potentially harmful. There is no added fragrance but it does have some perfuming oils which could irritate sensitive skin. That is about as "harmful" as this product gets.There are a multitude of botanical ingredients in this cream, and they are not cheap, which partially explains the price. It contains chia seed oil, watermelon seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, pomegranate seed oil, cottonseed extract, sunflower seed oil, and rosemary leaf extract. All of these ingredients together will nourish, moisturize, soothe and protect the skin against damage from free radicals.But they did not stop there. It also contains squalane, which is a powerful moisturizer that mimics our own skin lipids. In addition to that, it has sodium hyaluronate for attracting water, collagen peptide for anti-aging, Plankton extract, which supports moisture barrier functions, and even a little gold, which can function as an anti-inflammatory, protect against free radicals and even give the skin a bit of luminosity.This cream is fairly lightweight, and it almost has a bit of a gel-like feel in application. There is a very light nondescript smell to it, perhaps a bit fruity but barely noticeable. It glides easily across the skin making it easy to apply it evenly. It leaves a light sheen on the skin and is very slow to absorb, which is why I have only been using it at night. When I put foundation over it, the cream started pilling (making tiny rolls on the skin), so it's best to make it the last step in your skin care routine, unless you have at least a half hour to let it absorb.I really like that the focus of this cream seems to be hydrating and nourishing, emphasizing botanical extracts, peptides and antioxidants. It is not trying to accomplish every skin issue known to man, and is a very nice formulation for my dry and aging skin. In the 3 weeks that I have been using it I have noticed that all the flakiness is gone, my rosacea is barely noticeable, and my skin overall looks plumper and more youthful.At $205 for the $1.69 Oz jar, this cream is not inexpensive, but for those who can afford it I think it is an excellent option.Highly recommendedMade in the UK
