The 100 ml / 3.38 fl oz dual action “Cleanse & Clarify” arrived boxed with information in several languages on the box and paper insert. The top and bottom of the box were taped shut and the plastic tube had a silver safety seal under the plastic & metal cap.I’ve used this product as both a cleanser and a mask several times over a good two weeks. It worked as a cleanser, but I immediately preferred using this as an exfoliating mask.When used as a mask I applied the product to damp skin as directed, left it on for ten minutes, and then rinsed it off with warm water. The AHA treatment slowly dried over those ten minutes, but my face never felt tight. There are several fragrance ingredients including citrus lemon peel oil, limonene, the vague “parfum”, and mentha piperita oil, but it was a light scent to my nose. It rinsed off easily and my skin felt very smooth from the exfoliation. There was an obvious difference to my skin after my first use (I should exfoliate more often than I do), and the results were just as good after my second use about a week later.The brand’s site answers the question “Are your products cruelty free?” with “Yes, MZ SKIN does not advocate testing on animals.” However, one of the languages on the box and insert is Chinese, so I’m assuming that this product is sold in China. Because I try my best to choose truly cruelty free skincare, I wouldn’t repurchase.An icon states the product should be good for 9 months once opened. “Made in the UK”.
