As a nonbinary AFAB person with a scientific background, I am always on the lookout for little daily improvements to optimize basic needs. I have found this in NannoPads when it comes to my menstrual cycle.Pros:-biodegradable-easy to use (compared to reusable menstrual products that require laundering)-comfortable - thin, no itching, reduced smell-work as advertised: they do indeed ease me and my wife’s cramps-fairly absorptive, decent coverageCons:-expensive-gendered nomenclature and advertising overall focusing on ‘women’s needs’ instead of simply ‘menstrual needs’ - which can encompass any gender-biodegradable plastic tears easily-not the stickiest adhesive backing-boxes often come damaged via shippingThe first con and last 3 cons are to be expected when using biodegradable materials and are cons I am personally willing to accept when it comes to environmental impact and the otherwise overall quality of the product performing as advertised. The second con - that of lacking gender inclusivity - I feel could be an easy, cost-effective fix that would greatly impact dedicated transgender and nonbinary users such as myself and have no negative affects to AFAB women.Overall, I and my wife will continue to use this product. I find I need to take minimal to no pain relief when using it, even while traveling out of state for work conferences, which is impressive in and of itself. This is compared to constant acetaminophen/Midol the first 3-4 days when not using it, even while working from home.Takeaway: I appreciate the R&D and actual delivering claims as promised into improving the overall menstrual experience and environmental impact for NannoPad’s customers, which is not often seen in this industry. I just wish that the advertising and wording was a bit more inclusive/neutral as well.
