edit: these blades need frequent replacing I think. Much worse performance after the second shave.This is my first DE razor. I've been using classic straight razors for a couple of years, but the procedure/ritual was too much for me. Shaving with this for the first time, I can tell it's a very worthy purchase.It feels solidly made, is easy to install a razor and to use. When shaving I don't feel it cut at all, it's very gentle no matter how I angle it. It shaves nicely, but multiple passes needed to get a clean shave. Not a problem because with this it's very unlikely that I'll cut myself.Only minor gripe is since the handle is short the lathered soap runs down it, it's a little annoying but a minor thing.I like the box it comes with. Easy to store.
