I used to use a cup. However, I learned that is not a good idea with certain forms of birth control because the suction created on removal can dislodge the BC. So, I looked into my options and saw that a disc is a great alternative. If you have used a cup then going from that to a disc isn't all that much different. The disc uses the body's anatomy to hold it in place.I got the large size because I have had kids and am older. I like to pair it with period panties for 'just in case' protection. Haven't had any issues. I find it comfortable- you even forget you have it on. You should be comfortable with your body and bodily fluids. It can take some practice to get comfortable with it.I think this is a great alternative to traditional menstrual products. Less waste, more comfortable, easy to use, easy to clean. I find I have had way less accidents (if any) when using a cup/disc. I can't go back to pads and tampons. This is just a better option all around. Plus, you have the added bonus of saving money.
