I bought this after stealing all of my wife's Mario Badescu moisturizers for my face. (I did replace hers! :)This is not your typical aftershave lotion by any means. It is fairly thick, like face moisturizing cream. Do not expect to splash it on and get any kind of menthol or alcohol tingle---its just not that kind of product. Your rub it into your skin like a moisturizing cream or lotion.I use this in the winter in AZ when the air is very dry. It is a great moisturizer for post-shave. Has a nice, masculine lavender-spice fragrance, though it is quite a mild smell that fades pretty quickly. It just makes my skin look smooth and healthy. I sometimes use a regular aftershave and then follow up with this. I also sometimes put a couple drops of water on may hand before applying this product---it goes a little further that way.Probably the only downside is that some people may find this to be a little on the greasy or sticky side, but I think that's only the case if it is over-applied. A little goes a long way, and if you get it right (and maybe add a drop or two of water) this is not at all an issue.
