This is not restaurant or home chef level rice. As long as you're not expecting it to be that, then you will likely appreciate this. I'm giving it 5 stars for being surprisingly tasty for a microwavable rice, and for being so easy and fast to prepare. Lots of fast meal options similar to this one seem to either be too bland or salty. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this cilantro lime rice had enough salt to the taste, and the cilantro added a hint of complexity to the flavor so that it didn't just taste like plain salted rice. It did not have a strong taste of either cilantro or lime, but I was okay with that because I don't expect microwavable rice in a pouch to have the same powerful flavors as a cilantro lime rice made fresh. If you're buying this as a meal option for when you have no time, it's good enough. If you have the time but you're buying this because you are a wreck in the kitchen or you just don't like to cook, then I recommend taking an additional 5 minutes to cut up fresh cilantro and lime to enhance the flavors.
