This cream feels like silky thick body butter with a kick. The kick comes from ascorbic acid and capsicum, so I immediately felt a strong cooling and light zapping sensation, which wasn't painful, only unexpected. The sensation lasted a few minutes and subsided. I didn't have any redness, pain or irritation from this product. The cream is very moisturizing and nourishing. The ingredients are full of active components thought to improve skin texture and having exfoliating and brightening properties. However, this product doesn't play nice with other skincare serums, creams and oils that I use. The Amazon listing doesn't show a full list of components, but there are many different dimethicone variants in this product to make it feel silky and create the body of the cream. The problem with so much dimethicone in a cream is that it repels other products you might have put on the skin. It only works nicely with other siliconey skincare. I use many kinds of different serums, some made worth hyaluronic acid, others oil based, others water based, and none of them could be applied under this cream. A few hours after application I end up with the cream balling up and pilling off my face. Especially in the morning I discover bits of the dried cream all over my pillow and on my pajama shirt.This is a very potent skin brightening cream just looking at the actives, but it certainly doesn't want to work with other brands of skincare. So I'll be using this cream as an occasional treatment, but won't be able to incorporate it into my regular skincare regimen.
