I’ve been really enjoying Lancôme Absolue The Eye Serum, especially when layered under the richer Absolue Eye Cream at night. I wake up with less puffiness, plumped fine lines, and a brighter overall eye area after using this serum and cream.This is a lightweight, thin, gel-like serum that absorbs quickly and works well as a first treatment step for the eye area before applying heavier creams to seal everything in.The formula includes some excellent ingredients for hydration and smoothing. Glycerin, propanediol, and sodium hyaluronate help draw moisture into the skin, which plumps fine lines and improves hydration in the delicate undereye area. One of the standout ingredients in the formula is bifida ferment lysate, which is also used in many luxury repair serums. It helps support the skin barrier and improve overall skin resilience. The serum also includes adenosine for anti-aging support and caffeine to help reduce puffiness, which makes it especially nice for tired or puffy eyes. Lancôme also includes Pro-Xylane (hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol), one of their signature anti-aging ingredients that helps support skin firmness and structure over time.It's a great and well rounded serum, and the texture is beautiful. It glides over the skin easily and has a silky, smoothing feel thanks to the lightweight silicone elastomers in the formula. These also give the eye area a subtle soft focus effect that helps smooth the look of fine lines.I was initially a little concerned about fragrance since I have sensitive skin and eyes, but the rose scent from the Absolue line is soft and elegant rather than overpowering. It comes from a blend of rose water, rose extracts, and rose oil, and I really only notice the fragrance during the first few seconds of application. It causes no irritation or eye sensitivity for me.Used consistently, this serum helps my undereye area stay more hydrated and look smoother and slightly brighter, especially when paired with its richer eye cream on top to seal everything in.This is a wonderful luxury eye serum with a silky texture that layers perfectly with other skincare products, but it also makes my undereye area look great on its own. I have dry skin and am approaching my 40s, and I really appreciate the hydration and gentle anti-wrinkle benefits from Lancôme's Absolue line.
