If you're looking for a comfortable, attractive, slip resistant shoe that can stand up to long active shifts, I would highly recommend this one. It has superb cushioning, arch support, and shock absorption whether you're walking or standing on hard floors all day. I do a fair amount of walking and visiting guests when I'm not in the kitchen and these are extremely comfortable and don't look to shabby with nice pants and a button down. They're lightweight and have excellent traction on slippery floors. I've worn many shoes over the years and struggled to find ones that meet all of my needs. From high end Dansko's, Merell's, Docs, etc., to other well known brands with rave reviews from shoe's for crews, and have found some winners and other not so great ones. I can't find my favorite Merell's anymore, but that's okay, because these are head and shoulders above any of the aforementioned shoes. I've read other reviews about KEEN's Vista Energy+ low height saying that the shoe has no cushion or feels like walking on concrete. Those are all false. These are some of the most comfortable work shoes I've ever owned and I wish I'd found them sooner. Some other reviews I've seen say that they run tight. I have narrow feet so they fit mine just fine. I think they offer them in wider sizes so that's a nice option if you need it. . If you've made it this far then it's worth noting I rarely ever leave reviews unless I think it's something truly helpful. Comfort is the main quality when I'm looking for shoes, and these are exceptional. I've bought the premos and the cheapos and have found that it's important that you don't skimp when it comes to footwear. These shoes are worth it and so are your feet. They'll thank you for it. Hopefully this helps.Update: After 15 months of 40+ hrs/week of heavy use in the kitchen and minimal care (wipe down with towel and cheap shoe tree at night) these shoes have stood up very well. They're still comfortable, the outsoles have worn well with only slight creasing, and still have excellent grip even though the tread has been worn down.
