Over the years, I've noticed that jarred gefilte fish was getting less tasty. (For the record, I really like jarred gefilte fish.) I kept trying different brands, and they all tasted matzo-mealy, rather than gefilte-fishy. The Kedem Israeli Style Gefilte Fish contains no matzo meal. The texture and flavor remind me of what I used to love about gefilte fish, and now I still can. And, because there's no matzo meal, it's gluten-free. It's very sweet, but I just use extra horseradish. It's also good with chili crisp! I hope more brands start going matzo-meal free (or at least reduced!), but for now, this one is very good.
