I’ll start by saying that I’m Indian and I was delighted to find organic Indian meals on Amazon.The kadhi khichadi was really flavorful and one of the best freeze dried/packaged Indian meals I’ve ever had. However there are several issues that if addressed by the sellers would truly place their products on the popularity list.The instructions are very confusing. The entire back of the package repeatedly said to add the suggested amount of water but didn’t say what that suggested amount was. There was a QR code that didn’t work. There were additional instructions inside the foil packaging that provided recommended water amount but it was not enough and I had to add more.Once the meal was ready, it was absolutely delicious and made me homesick in the best way. It was on the hotter side and it would help the sellers from avoiding negative reviews by adding spice levels in the package clearly so buyers can decide.Serving size wise, it was one serving, and a little on the lighter side. I’m a small woman and I was nibbley afterwards. For $20 a pop, this meal is competing with restaurant food which would easily be two serving sizes. Granted it’s organic but I would still want a sizable serving.Overall this is a great idea and the chefs have nailed the taste and flavor part. The sellers however need to work out the packaging and instructions. I’m a former product manager and user experience is everything when it comes to using and consuming products easily.
