I get a taper fade with a #3 hair length on top. My hair is thick and wavy/curly. I tried Kiehl’s silk groom, Giovanni avocado serum and various other balms, gels and moisturizers. I received a sample of this, and was pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t believe it! My hair is not only moisturized, but not greasy. It’s not oily and it does provide some shine and protection from heat and humidity. Don’t expect a firm hold, it’s sort of a soft to medium hold. And you only need a little as it seems concentrated.I will definitely be buying this from now on. Jack Black products are the best, and I’ve tried MANY premium/luxury men’s grooming products over the years, such as Truefitt and Hill hair dressings. I would say my hair is 4a but may be 3c on the scale. The smell is ok, kind of herbal, not offensive.
