I make most food from scratch and don't use a lot of prepackaged foods. Rice mixes are often an exception because sometimes I just need an easy and flavorful side that I don't have to think about. This rice pilaf is perfect for those times!It's so easy to make- you literally just have to boil water and add the packet along with a little oil or butter. Let it simmer until water is fully dissolved, 20-25 minutes. Every time I've made it, it comes out nice and fluffy with a good amount of moisture. And lots of flavor. It's great as a side for salmon, chicken, etc.I would say it's a little bit salty (keep in mind it does have 25% of your daily value of sodium), but this is pretty common for these prepackaged rices. I would just be sure not to use salted butter in and and not to add additional salt.
