Goldfaden MD Radiance-Boosting Starter Set - Transform Your Skin with Brightening Skincare Essentials

The Goldfaden MD Radiance-Boosting Starter Set includes a small face wash and rather tiny looking tubes of a face cream, eye cream and scrub. I didn’t think these would go very far, but I got more applications than I had expected based on looking at the sizes and still have some product I’m using up. I like that this set has the main elements of a skincare regimen, though I’ve added a serum to target specific concerns and use toner and/or essence as needed.In terms of a serum, I’m a fan of the Goldfaden MD Radiance Repair serum (sold separately) and was already using that serum, so that’s what I used most with this starter set (applied before the face cream). I did try other serums with the products and everything I tried paired well, so I think any favorite serum can be used. I do especially like using the Radiance Repair serum as it boosts hydration and does make my skin look especially radiant.This products in this set agree really well with my dry, sensitive, mature (55+) skin. I think the products stand out for being gentle, hydrating and free of strong or chemical fragrance. Also, these aren’t heavy or greasy products, yet they hydrate well and my skin feels comfortable and looks good using this line of products (with a serum added). I also like that all the products have relatively short ingredient lists.Grapefruit peel oil is added for just a hint of a pleasing citrus scent. It can be an irritant, but I’ve had no issues. I enjoy everything that comes in the set, though I prefer using chemical exfoliants (especially glycolic acid) to physical scrubs. Still, I do think this is a nice scrub for those who like physical exfoliation and it’s effective at getting rid of dead surface skin. It feels a bit on the coarse side to me, but it didn’t cause irritation applying gently 1x a week.The cleanser is nice as it creates gentle lather and leaves my skin fresh and clean but not dry or tight feeling. The face cream is thick and has a pleasing firming feel I enjoy, it smooths my skin, absorbs well and effectively hydrates without being greasy. For me, it’s great as a day cream as I get ample hydration and comfort, and it layers well with my sunscreen and makeup. It’s good at night too, but I do tend to boost the hydration I get with a face oil as I prefer richer products at night.The little tube of eye cream is good for many applications as just a dab of it moisturizes my eye area well. It gets rid of light flakiness I get around my eyes, smooths lines and imparts a quick brightening effect (likely from mica). It absorbs well and causes no issues with applying a color corrector and concealer. I can’t speak to long term benefits of the products, but I’m happy with how my skin looks and feels using this sampler set. Love it. 5 stars.
