The Globe Scientific 1404-15 glass cover slip measures 22 x 22mm and has a #1.5 (0.175mm) thickness. It fits standard 25 x 75mm slides (sold separately) and keeps specimens compressed to a layer of even thickness. Packages are wrapped in aluminum foil to seal out moisture and contain a desiccant. The case contains 10, 1oz. boxes of cover slips, each with approximately 148 cover slips. These were actually the only cover slips I could locate specifying the 17mm thickness required for best results with my Zeiss objectives. At 22x22mm, these are also a bit larger than most of the other cover slips sold on Amazon. The larger size seems easier to handle and would come in handy when making permanent mounts.The cover slips arrived packed as specified - each box of the 10 sealed in individual foil. The packaging and slips were extremely clean - these are obviously produced in a high-technology controlled environment. The layout of the cover slips within each small plastic box facilitates grasping just one when needed. (But do ensure your fingers are quite dry when reaching for the slip.)The lot of 10 boxes (about 1480 cover slips in all) seems to be the minimum order. However, these should last me quite a while and in any case the price is very reasonable.
