To be honest, I've never paid this much for a beauty product. I'm in my 50s and have known about the benefits of moisturizing for some time, but traditionally, my skin care regimen consisted of products that usually fall within the $25 price range. Lately though, the years have been catching up and I've noticed that the products I've been using around my eyes don't seem to be working as well as they used to, so when I saw this cream available, I took a chance.Initially, I thought it would be a good way to justify sticking with my cheaper products. I've always felt that manufacturers play upon our fears of aging and that sometimes correlates to the idea that more expensive means more effective, so I was sort of hoping that the difference between this product and the widely available name brand from my local drug store that I've been using would be negligible and I could report back here in my review that this wasn't worth the extra cost and you should all save your money. Well, much to my surprise, that's just not the case...I've been using this for about a month now, quite sparingly due to the price, so only overnight while sleeping and mostly under my eyes, where I have noticed the greatest increase in bags, wrinkles and sagging skin. The consistency of this cream is more like a hybrid cream/serum; it's white and creamy, but also has a viscous, silky feel that sort of melts into my skin as opposed to many times in the past when I'd use eye serum only to wake up with a dried film sitting under my eyes the next morning. It doesn't have any discernible odor and has never caused any irritation to my eyes overnight or the next morning. (Surprisingly, considering the number of ingredients listed on the box... Look at my picture below...it looks like the opening text scroll at the beginning of Star Wars...)Well, lo and behold after a month of faithful use, I can confidently say, "This stuff actually works!" I'm honestly quite surprised at the results. The saggy bags and dark circles under my eyes are actually visibly smaller, lighter and incredibly the skin actually seems tighter.and less puffy. I'm not going to claim this is a miracle in a bottle or an eye lift in a jar, but for a topical product to make such a noticeable, visible difference and effect a slight reversal of the aging effects within a month is pretty miraculous to me. I always thought eye and face creams were just to maintain what you have, but this actually improved my appearance.I do still believe this is quite expensive for most people (including me) and I'm worried that I might not be able to justify continually splurging on such a luxury product, but if I use it sparingly and I keep experiencing the improvements I've seen so far, I might just have to accept the fact that with this product, you really do get what you pay for. (Now I just have to decide what other products can do without to continue to afford it...)
