It would be easy to dismiss this device as both prohibitively expensive and redundant in a marketplace filled with a wide array of facial rollers, most of which are offered at a fraction of the cost of this tool. Looks can be deceiving, however, and I have come to the conclusion that the benefits this offers more than offset the asking price.For anyone familiar with gua sha, the basic technique used with this will be very familiar: you use the notch for jawline, chin, and brows and just roll over the rest of the face using light to medium pressure. Unlike gua sha, you can roll this both directions, but only use pressure for the upward strokes. The tool is very heavy for its size and is incredibly ergonomic and wonderfully balanced in the hand. The ridges on the rollers provide a deeper massage than I feel with a jade, and the entire routine is fast and easy. This will sound weird, but it almost feels as though the rollers magnetically grip the face as you roll. Obviously, this is not the case--still, they feel very "grippy", but in a pleasing way. I don't doubt that using this in conjunction with your choice of serum and/or facial oil will permit the product to penetrate more deeply, and it may over time even promote collagen production.To be honest, though? I would (and will) use this daily just because of how it makes my face feel. I'm diagnosed neuro-divergent and have very specific likes and dislikes when it comes to touch, so your mileage may well vary. For me, though, I find this to be the most relaxing and soothing massager I've ever used. It will never replace gua sha for me, which is a longer ritual of sorts, but it is something I find myself reaching for and using every day. Highly recommended!
