I gave this sunscreen a real workout for its first use: a week of hiking in full, 80+ degree sunshine at high altitudes in and around Salt Lake City. We were out in full sun for 8+ hours per day while being very active. I'd apply EltaMD before we left the house and re-apply mid-day. I am pretty pale because I live in Seattle where we get a lot of gray days and a limited sunny season, so I was really pushing it.EltaMD worked perfectly. It is easy to apply and not super greasy. It blends into your skin really well so no one can tell you're wearing any kind of lotion or tinted sunscreen. The fragrance is almost non-existent so you don't smell like you're wearing sunscreen. And it was super effective: ZERO sunburn - not even some mild red or pink tones after all that sunshine. EltaMD worked exactly as I hoped. It's also very moisturizing, which was important because SLC is a very dry climate. And I didn't have any skin reactions to the sunscreen - no breaking out or anything like that.
