Ordered Dr. Scholl's Compression Back Support with Massaging Gel to see if the device can bring some relief to my lower back after a long day of sitting or doing yard work. The last couple years or so, I have started to notice that simply sitting at work or doing yard work for a few hours sometimes brings some discomfort to my lower back.After trying this product, I would say this is more of a compression back support item rather than a back brace. In my opinion, it is quite flexible, this the belt does not seem rigid enough for a brace. However, for a compression back support, this product is fantastic. The Dr. Scholl's compression back support is light, adjustable, easy to wear, and has a massaging gel pouch that can be adjusted to a specific position for a more targeted compression.For me, due to the flexibility and comfort, I believe it will work well for wearing during home chores and during workouts. Although I do not feel it meets my definition of a "back brace", I do think it is a great compression device and provides just enough back support to get some relief. Yet, is not too restrictive on one's movements such as bending and twisting. I feel this product can easily be worn all day if need be. It is very comfortable to wear and thin enough to wear it under loose clothing.
