I was hesitant to buy this after the reading reviews saying this runs extremely small. However this is my 4th Don Joy brace and all the size L fit well, so I decided to try it. At first it was extremely snug, so much so that I thought about returning it. Then I decided to go for a workout in it and after an hour or so it felt more comfortable. On my second wear it felt perfect and fit like a glove. If you're going to buy this bear in mind when you get it that it loosens up a bit after you wear it a couple times. I'm happy I did not return it, it's an awesome patella stabilizing brace.
