What Everyone's Saying

Customers find this cast boot to be a great post-surgical shoe that works well with casted broken ankles and provides good support around the ankle. The velcro fasteners hold the shoe securely and keep the cast in place tightly, while being durable and easy to walk in. The sizing receives mixed feedback - while some find the XL size perfect, others say it runs small.

Recent User Experience

If you’re looking at this to help heal your foot without a cast, it does put slight pressure on your MTP joints, where your toes connect to your metatarsals, because the bottom of the shoe is slightly rounded up to aid a natural step, and where your foot rests has a very slight give.If you’re a size 8 in womans I’d size up to medium, because I’m a 7.5 and my big toe has just enough room. This is an AMAZING shoe, especially for the price. I bought it because a few months ago I fractured something in my foot after stubbing my foot on a solid wood couch, and I’ve been having pain from it not healing right. The walking shoe I got from my doctor, while rigid (which is good for healing your foot), is slightly too small so my toes slightly hang off, and it gives me an uncomfortable limp. I also had trouble finding a normal shoe for my other foot that had the same height to it. With this shoe I can even wear my flip flop and still have a natural walk. I also bought this because I have issues with spraining my ankle, and it keeps it nicely supported, especially with wearing my compression ankle brace as well.I can’t say anything about durability as I just received this, but even if it only lasts for a few weeks with constant use I wouldn’t complain, because the price is a steal. You could buy two or three for the same price as some of the other options.I am so happy with this, especially since I’m going on vacation in a couple days which will involve a lot of walking. I’m comforted knowing that this shoe will protect my foot and ankle, and help keep me pain free as I walk.9/2/19 - just wanted to update because I still LOVE this shoe, two and a half months later. I’ve been wearing it on and off all summer, and it has been so helpful for my pain. As I said, my foot did not heal right so I was frequently dealing with some level of pain for a while - it was worse if I walked longer than 5-10 mins. I wore it all vacation (it was a week long, with a LOT of walking) and I stopped experiencing my pain almost immediately. The cushioning was just right, and my foot and ankle were properly supported. And like I said, I had a natural step with it on - my sister didn’t notice I was wearing the shoe until the fourth day (she may have noticed if I was wearing capris or shorts verses pants, but point remains). When I got back home I ordered a second one for strictly inside use, because I didn’t want to track everything outside on my carpets and wood floors, the quality was just as good as the first. Both shoes have held up all summer. Minor scuffing on the bottom of the first shoe, but that’s going to happen if you walk a lot, especially outside, for over a month or two. It still provides the same support as it did the first week, which is what matters.Oh, and I actually hurt my foot again about a week and a half ago, bad enough to get x-rays - thankfully just a sprain (yay EDS). But I again combined this shoe with my compression brace and the pain significantly lessened much more quickly than if I would have used the brace alone while favoring my hurt foot.
