These post-surgical shoes are very comfortable and really support your foot. The bottom is thick enough to actually protect your foot and works perfectly with an athletic shoe on the other foot.I purchased a more expensive pair of surgical shoes called Vive that were thin-soled and uncomfortable. I am so happy I returned them and got these more comfortable, supportive shoe. I can walk normally with these which I could not do with the VIVE shoe. I wear a 6-6 1/2 shoe and the small is a perfect fit. Hope this helps you select the right shoe.
