Being relatively new to skincare, I'm really enjoying trying various products and learning what each one does, how to use it, in what order to use it in, etc. I wasn't quite sure how a "moisture veil silk emulsion" moisturizer fit in. I'm still not educated enough on skincare to answer that question, but it feels like a combination of serum and lotion based on what I have learned through experimentation so far.This moisturizer is on the heavier side which is fine for me during the winter but may be too much for people with oily skin. For everyone else, I'd recommend just starting with a small amount and adding as you see necessary. A little actually goes a long way. I also found it better to use at nighttime or on weekend mornings when I'm not putting on makeup as it does take a bit of time to absorb into the skin.I don't have particularly sensitive skin, and this product didn't cause any redness or irritation for me. It does have a bit of a scent which is pleasant, but just a heads-up for those people who want absolutely no scent. For me, if I like the smell, it actually adds to the experience. The ultimate result is that my skin does feel nicely hydrated
