Let me start off by stating these are great clippers. It was a pleasure to use these. My two subjects - a human male and partial trimming on an Irish Setter. I have professional grade clippers for my pets but just wanted to put this one through its paces for this fun little test. Usually pet clippers are more heavy duty as you have to be mindful of noise, heat, etc. but the specs sounded good and I had a pet in need of a slight trim so thought why not.-Power: This is a powerful clipper. You can feel it right away and it does cut through hair like butter. Minimal vibration, very comfortable in the hand. I expect nothing else for this price point-Precision: The blade was very precise. Gave a great edge and allowed for a high level of precision with no excessive pressure needed-Heat Mgmt: This is more applicable for pets as you can spend a long time clipping the fur of pets (even an hour - I have two clippers and multiple blades to prevent excessive heat). This was good at not producing heat excessively but I only used it for I'd say 20 minutes max-Noise: same as my others ( no quieter but not any louder)-Racheting mechanism to adjust position of blade: This is new to me and I love it - there's a lever you press to adjust the clipper position/level - usually they are very smooth. This one is neat because it's a racheting mechanism or you hear the racheting noise. I'm not describing it well but I LOVE it. It's that little bit of finesse that makes you think they really thought through the design. I'm not a professional so maybe this is common elsewhere but as mentioned it's new to me. It reminds me of the caliber of something like a Dyson vacuum or airwrap. It's just next level.One note about the clipper attachments: There was a bit more vibration than I was expecting AT FIRST. I thought for something at this price point, I would barely feel even a thrum but I experienced the same vibration level as my other clippers. HOWEVER a quick tap helped and it seemed to seat itself really well and there was no excessive vibration after that. I do have to give it a little tap every time I attach an attachment. This may be a "me" thing and I need to figure out how to seat the attachment from the get go so not taking out a star.This company offers a trimmer and my husband is in need of a trimmer so I'll consider ordering that. I think that may be a very good item based on what I'm seeing here.
