Review for Clarins Extra-Firming Day MoisturizerI ordered this day moisturizer to help with my aging skin. The Clarins Extra-Firming line’s been around for decades, but aside from making this version refillable, there are new ingredients that have improved my complexion. It’s a double firming cream that’s built around organic mitracarpus extract and kangaroo plant to help with loss of firmness and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The Glow Plus ingredients are a 12 ingredient super-fruits blende that are meant to nourish the complexion.What I like about this low to medium weight gel pale peach color cream is how nicely it applies and quickly my skin absorbs it, without leaving a damp feeling. Though it isn’t meant to be, it works a lot like a foundation primer and also layers well with targeted skin treatments. The scent is very pretty, a Clarins trademark feature. After a couple of weeks use, my skin never feels dehydrated throughout the day and looks radiant. I’m very pleased with how my skin looks and feels with this day cream.The sunscreen (SPF 15) ingredient in this cream is butyloctyl salicylate. Though the formula includes a sunscreen, it’s lightweight, and I will add another during certain times of the year that meets my needs. I appreciate that this cream acts a lot like a foundation primer. As it firms and boosts radiance, the cream creates a smooth base for makeup. It layers well with targeted skin treatments too! Includes natural and artificial fragrance. I haven’t replaced a refill pod but according to the diagram, it seems like it’s easy to pop the old one out of the jar, then slide in the new one.50ml/1.7 fl. oz. Refillable double walled pod and glass jar protects product from UV & air damage. Safety seal sticker on the lid assures purity.
