Recent User Experience

I bought a very affordable, high quality Celestron Microscope for my granddaughters, ages 8 and 6. Of course, I wanted it to excite them and nurture their scientific curiosity. It did! I began my instructions with all the classic easy wow factor tricks -- a hair from each of their heads, some sugar crystals, salt crystals, a blade of grass, and even a captured and somewhat "smushed" insect or two. Those specimens sound easy enough, but my preparation was pretty sloppy. When I opened the impressive wooden box, the children and I were wowed by the variety of prepared slides and how easily they could be focused at even the scope's highest magnification. Even a 67 year old can be blown away by viewing tiny animals, including one celled organisms, and a variety of specimens I had never seen offered; e.g., nerve cells and intestinal cells. This is a fantastic tool for broadening the enjoyment of any microscope by any novice user. I rate it a Must Have!
