I have fine hair that is usually straight. This thickening spray is fantastic. I spray it in my freshly dried hair from the mid length down to the tips. Then I gently move a pic through my hair, and let the spray dry. My hair is longer than shoulder length, about mid back length. I use a 3/4 inch curling iron to then curl up the bottom half of my hair strands. I use a 1/2 inch iron for my bangs. This thickening spray makes my curls hold until I wash my hair again, this is incredible! I let my curls from the curling iron cool. Then I separate them carefully, give them a little crunch with my hand, and spray this thickening spray from the bottom of my curls up into my hair to give them extra lift. I have had so many compliments on this hairstyle that I have discovered in the last six months. I even had a family member ask if I was wearing a wig because usually my hair looks kind of frumpy before I found this product. So you don't need to go and get a permanent for curls. If you have straight hair and you want Beautiful curls, get this thickening spray, a blow dryer, a curling iron, and maybe some finishing hairspray to keep your bangs up. I do have to use some small hair clips to hold my bangs out of my face because curls like to drop forward. But I am so happy with this spray. I have tried several other brands, but this is the best. I loaned it to my cousin who has straight short hair. She didn't want to curl hers, she just wanted a rolled look. She loved it. It gives you lift, volume, and holds all day. No kidding. I am not trying to advertise for this company, I am just a 52 year old woman who has difficult fine straight hair. I have had permanence in the past, use straightening irons, hot rollers, everything.
