Borghese Italian Recipe Travel Set – Cleanser, Moisture Serum, Moisturizer, Mud Mask & Brightening Capsules

Borghese skincare has been around for a long time- I remember trying them when Lorenzo was on the Bachelor!As with all higher end skincare lines, I find packaging to be an important part of the experience and Borghese does not disappoint. Several products are packaged in what feels like frosted glass, a lovely detail for trial sizes. And I usually toss travel bags that come with sets like this as I find them a little cheesy looking. But this one is so pretty and well made, and the clamshell opening is so functional, I’ll be replacing my much bigger travel bag with it!In terms of value for the money, I would say it’s a very cost effective way to sample the entire line at once, as it’s intended to be used. The mud mask is one of their signature products that they’ve made for years and feels REALLY good to use, like a spa in a jar. In general if you use this entire line together as intended it feels like a pampering spa day. That’s how I’m sampling them and so far there’s nothing I don’t like about any of them!Please know this is not a fragrance free set. I personally love the scent and I’m a little tired of all fragrance free everything! Just be aware if you’re sensitive. Likewise if you’re prone to breakouts the crème in particular may be too thick for you.I plan to use this set as a whole until it runs out, just to see how it impacts my redness and texture issues. I will report back if it’s had a major impact! I’ve been using more targeted ingredients like exosomes and collagen, so I’m curious what will happen!First impressions are that the target audience here is someone with generally healthy skin, possibly on the drier or more mature side, who’s focused on a luxury hydrating skincare experience. This would be a great Valentine’s Day gift or just something to give that will pamper yourself or someone else.
